theres some good riffs that deserve to be there but there are some riffs that deserve to be there that aren't.....

I would rename this article: 50 randomly assorted classic riffs and reasons why we at Spinner magazine like them aside from the fact it gets people to read our boring $@! magazine for 5 minutes. I now see why I can't be a journalist ^^

I'm getting to my overflow point with all these 10,20,50 etc. best of... lists as they are usually based on the responses of people who know little or nothing about the subject.I see that in a recent Guitar World poll Jeff Beck only got 8% of the votes for the Hall of Fame while Angus Young got 27%.That figure comes because the majority of G.W. readers and articles are hard rock/metal oriented.These lists are very subjective and 50 different people will give you 50 different lists and the outcome also relies on the musical preferences of those polled.There are not many people who could state objectively that Young is a better guitarist than Beck but if you asked a crowd of AC DC fans of course they'd say that Young is the better guitarist or more deserving of a spot in the Hall of Fame.So from now on I think I'll skip over any of the best of lists I see in the future whether they be about restaurants or guitar players.
