How did everyone's practice go today? Mine went great. Put new slinkys on my Strat and played some Zeppelin and some Buddy Holly songs. Really love that Fender Frontman amp and my DigiTech multi-effect pedal.

Still reading Keith Richard's bio I received for Christmas. So I thought I'd give a try at some Stones stuff. Brown sugar, love in vain etc.
I'm toying with the idea of temporary converting my Tele to a five strings open G axe like Keef's to experiment more Stone's stuf.

Yup, I find it very interesting. First hand informations about recordings, friends, fiends, gear. I'm still in the first third of the book and I can't put it down. :)
I also found Peter Grant's bio to be a must read. Zep's manager.

I will definitely give that one a read, thanks for the tip. Which do think is better Clapton's bio or Richard's?

Well I find that Keef's bio has more panache because of the bad boys reputation, but again, I'm not done with the book yet.

Practice was good. Started out by playing scales and chords and other theory stuff as I usually do. Played a lot of Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly.
