Hi All,

What can one do to get a fatter and deeper sound on the Strat??I play Shadows-music and my sound is thinner than the sound of Hank B Marvin. Who knows the answer??
I'll tried Duet as a VST-plugin , but that won,t work cause the sound was floating with the Duet on.Btw I use Adobe Audition 1.5 for recording my Music, finally I can add that I have Fender 57/62 pick-ups in the Guitar

Fred, I take it you're plugging straight into the machine. If this is so then I think you should run through an amp and mic the amp. To my mind you're bringing on your own "thin" sound by using the guitar in a way it was never intended to be used. Electric guitars need to be played through an amp or they're going to sound thin.

Everybody, listen up. There are no shortcuts to good tone. Good tone requires a good guitar, a good amp and good hands. That requires an investment of money and an investment of time and practice. If you're short on cash or short on time and practice you're just going to have to live with mediocre tone. It really is that simple.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Hi BMW-KTM

Yes, I do the VST-plugin into AA. I'm not using an Amp anymore. Nowadays I have a POD ( with the simulation of different Amps) for the interface and a Mixer, and that goes straight into my PC.I have PVC-monitors for the sound

I have 2 Mexican Fenders and 1 Strat Costum Made( not Fender) , and just the Fenders are more higher of sound than my Strat. My Costum Made Strat has a wonderful sound of its own, so this one gives me no worries. My worries goes out to the Fenders with the higher sound
