No offense, but maybe you should go and take some audio and video classes to make your work shine. All the audio and video equipment in the world isn't wort a thing if you don't know how to use it.

No offense taken, however, I disagree with you on 'isn't worth a thing'. We are in a new world, where we aren't restricted by what's in a magazine, or on a television. The good news - for those folks that don't like what I do, there are hundreds of other options they can watch! And, being that there are so many options out there - it amazes me that people (hint hint) sometimes get hung up on criticizing those who (hint hint) put in the effort. Seriously - when was the last time you wrote a letter to your local television station for not liking what was on the channel. Most folks just keep clicking until they find something that suits them. But, don't think I don't get it. The power of the internet is to rate & comment, which is why I'm here. Tell you what - comment or rate one of the 'big boys aka the publications' and see how quickly they rush here to defend what they love to do! So, rather than a 'thank you' for being one of 'you all' ... I get love like 'isn't worth a thing'. Now I'm sad :-(

I stand by my statement. Like you, I don't need to kiss anybodies arse either. If you don't know how to use your equipment, it's worthless. There are thousands of bad gear videos on youtube. I found yours and many others while I was looking for reviews. I don't even give Fender any "love" when they screw up and I've been using their gear for 40 years. I have written letters and emails to radio and TV stations, and equipment manufacturers of all sorts.
If you provide any kind of "service" you should take your lumps whether it's for "fun" or not.
If I'm serious about something, I don't like wasting my time on fun and games.

Um, okay. Whatever. You're entitled to your opinion, and that's cool. Rock ON!

TTK, "Off topic - what Fender products would you like to see reviews on?", I would like to see a demonstration, if possible, of a Fender Precision bass guitar a Fender Jazz bass guitar, a Rickenbacker 4000 series bass guitar and a Gibson Thunderbird bass guitar all through a Fender Bassman Pro 300 head with at least a Fender Pro 115 cabinet. Tall order, that is a lot of expensive equipment so it is up to you how it can be done, again if possible. Thanks for hanging around. My Brothers and Sisters here are some of the most knowledgeable, big hearted, just all around great people that I have had the opportunity to communicate with. and now the Bro that helped me more than I can express is one of us. Very cool indeed. 8)

I fully understand that statement.

This lot has seen more than it's fair share of beer thrown at it. Or rather thrown at me, who has become a expert ducker.

And yeah I stopped playing JCM's live in May lastyear when I built my 18watt. Anyway I bit the bullet lastweek and took the JCM's back to rehearsall. Gotta say, it hit all the right buttons.

How do you like the KK JCM800? I bet that JCM800 combo sounds good. Original speaker? Whats' in there, a G12T75?

Great looking rig!! Lots of personality

Yeah the 800KK is ok, kind of a budget 800. Its a little too JVM/JCM900 sounding when clean, very hard edged in comparison to the combo. There is a serious amount of treble on tap with it.
The combo is a dog, it just doesn't do clean, unless you go on the higain channel and turn the gain right down. The 'clean' channel drives wildly if you so much as whisper at it. Had it for years and can't be without it though.
The combo does bass sounds and gets plugged into the 4x12 (now sadly disintergrated. Replaced with a Hayden (rubbish)) the head does treble sounds and runs into the combos speakers. A nice but very loud way to get real good control over both ends of your sound.

i like niki's idea about a super clean tone and doing sone solid pickup reviews
as well as a clean tone then show the pedal to be reviewed tone.
i do understand your having fun with what you do and i guess for you thats most important. please keep in mind that a lot of the products you review arent in ever store so the only way some can get a ear for what the gear sounds like is by you doing a clean
solid job when you shoot.
i think what might help you is when you demo a product find out what type of person
and what type of music might be best suited for that product, and compare it to a like product intended for the type of music it which it might be used.
(wow that was a mouth full but you get the idea)
example, dont take a pedal that might be intended for a country tone and push it through
a JCM 800 stack. put it through a blues jr or any other amp that might be found in country music today, along side a nice tele or strat. not a whole lot of folks in country playing jacksons or ibanez. set the mood so to speak.
not a lot of metal guys gonna be checking out a FullTone OCD so dont run it through a metal amp with a metal guitar playing metal music. all just suggestions TK.
honestly, i want you to do your best and be your best. your having fun and have lots of opportunity at your finger tips. sure this yrs videos should outshine last yrs by a long shot as those should have out shined those before them.
your gonna be in the spot light doing what you do theres no question about that, and you seem to take the bad shots with the good. i hope you take what folks are saying and think it over. we probably spend more time on review sites than you have opportunity to do.

Hey my JCM does great country, well the high mids of the KK head do. The gain level is variable!
Yeah though it is horses for courses. I guess I'm a little too demanding in requiring as pure a representation of the product being reviewed as possible.
Perfect worlds don't happen. I just believe they are to be strived for. Thats why I pick the cheapest most rubbish amp in the shop and only play it clean when I shop for a guitar.

In truth TTK you're not going to please all the people all the time. I do stand by what I said regarding the differences between amp sound and recorded sound though.

Still you're another soldier for the cause. March on son.

I'll freely admit there are better amps for the job!

Still Skynard never did too bad with Plexi's did they?
(the difference between playing a amp and relying on a amp, to hark back to a long past thread)

I thought Skynyrd used Peavey.

they had a huge deal with peavey, but it was rumored that the used marshall guts in peavey cabs in a few of them. ed king used marshall though.
ed king and steve gains were also rumored to have used fender amps to record with
on some songs.
