Not sure if you could class him as an out and out acoustic player, but yoav. He's probably my favourite, he's very experimental and original in what he does.

Doc is a bona-fide national treasure...

And keeping the Doc/Clarence/Tony flame alive are Josh Williams, Bryan Sutton and Cody Kilby.

Forgive me, everybody, for flying my Bluegrass flag a little high...but I think (just my opinion, BTW) that when it comes to pure, un-adulterated musicianship, Bluegrass pickers are the tops.

Every player, regardless of genre, can learn a lot by listening to them.
