NGD for me! The big brown truck just dropped it off so I am letting it get acclimated for a few hours then going to get her out and play a little. A 1997 Guild Bluesbird goldtop with Seymoud Duncan 59's in it. Got this in a trade with a buddy of mine, he has played it very little and wanted something with P90's so I traded him my Guild Blues 90 for it. I hate to see the Blues 90 go, but love to see a goldtop coming into my collection! More pics later.

thanks fellas, yep I do love Guild guitars, especially the vintage ones with the HB-1 humbuckers in them. Guilds are just the line that feel the best for me and I don't think I have ever played one that didn't have the Guild feel to it. Those old necks are super. They just seem to be the company that never charged enough for their guitars when they were for the most part overbuilt and never really had a period of time whrre production was subpar for quality. Of course, I still love Fenders as well!

Guild is very hard to find in Spain, so I've never seen one in any store. :(

Haha Damco, trust me, you do not want to hear me play! It might be the last thing you ever hear before you go deaf and I dont want to be responsible for that!

If you ever do see a Guild guitar be sure to check it out. I think you will be very please with the craftsmanship and quality.

Lovely guitar BCB-are the Duncan's original to the guitar or were they dropped in by the previous owner?I'm thinking she would really sound sweet with a pair or the older style Guild humbuckers in her,then she'd really be a Les Paul slayer.
