   well played again, Idiot. it's all fun and games until someone makes it political at all, let alone in an attack rather than using facts. moving along though, not going to waste my time arguing with someone who has a career of 20 some odd posts and just wants to troll.

About the only thing Bush (whom I have zero respect for as a politician or human being) was that he was the lesser of two evils. His opponent Gore is married to the most heartless, undeserving of life, censorship campaigner going.
A person so bereft of appreciation of any art, she wanted to rewrite classic literature so it didn't offend her oh so important sensibilities.
Nothing but a nazi b***h of no value wanting to edit the greats, not just in music or books, but poetry too. Re-write history to better suit her opinion of right and wrong.

Imagine having that noxious, malignant cow whispering into your presidents ear all night long.

Not arguing...not trolling...just joking around.

Looks like I hit one of those sensitive and humor-free nerves that seems to be common among the tea-bagger crowd....and for that I sincerely apologize and offer humble Mea Culpas to those of you more advanced in your "careers" (snicker)

And as for the “troll” accusation, I’ve had it thrown my way from time-to-time…doesn’t bother me a whit.

I suspect that MOST people use these forums in the same way I do: I am happy to passively READ the (perhaps 25%) of posts that are either informative or entertaining in some way, and I accept that I’ll have to wade through the 70% of posts that amount to nothing more than a waste of good electrons (you know, the “goodnight, Bros” or “what did you have for breakfast this morning?” posts); and that’s cool, too...we all know there are some seriously lonely people out there.

But I’m usually only motivated to go to the trouble of signing-in and making a post of my own by the remaining 5% of posts that are outright asinine and/or retarded. Tea-baggers, bigots, rednecks and others prone to talk out of their asses (and folks who don’t understand –or don’t care -why the word “$@!&$%” is offensive) are pretty reliable motivators.

Yeah, that's why I switched to a Mac. Oh wait, you mean political correctness?
Just kidding, I hate it too. People are way too sensitive. I grew up with "All in the Family", The old "Saturday Night Live", "In Living Color" etc never had a problem with political correctness. Censoring literary classics or anything in general is a crime in itself. I'm a firm believer that if you don't like what you're hearing, turn it off, same thing with reading material.

To anyone retarded enough to find a word offensive, rather than the context. I humbly present to you why the word f@66ot should never be censored.

Political correctness run amuck!!!! Majority of the people being told what is correct by different groups and afraid to say anything out of fear of being branded. (SHEEP)
One day the lid could burst off that pot and groups will pay. I don't think any where is immune to that possibility.

I don't listen to much radio, and no Canadian radio. As long as they cant stop Knopfler from playing it in concert it's all right by me.

I have a second question here......

Since they have banned Mark, are they also going to ban Sting as well?

He did the other half of the duo here didn't he?

He has a writing credit on the song as well?

The song is not banned. You can buy the album, you can get it on itunes, you can play it on the kazooo, and ....wait for it....you can even hear it on the radio. All kinds of stations seem to be playing it today.

Yup, that's correct. The Canadian Broadcast Standard's Council is a voluntary compliance organization. And if you ask me, they just validated the reason that stations might consider opting out of membership. Yet another example of political correctness run a muck. They totally missed the point of the song. Next thing someone will be trying to take Christ out of Christmas - Oh, wait a minute, they're already trying. Sigh.

Wow Doc Waters.
Can we hear your show ever? Is it available on internet radio?

See thing is I have a thing for outlandish radio broadcasts. I love to hear em, accents all funny and weird adverts.
When I was testing my fuzzboxes with a half cocked wah I picked up radio Russia or something. I listened for 2 hours straight before I had to sleep or commit to staying up all night.

Thats why our local School system calls it the Christmas/Winter Break some would love to drop the Christmas like they did a few years ago but complaints made them put it back on the calendar.

I had a dental filling that picked up radio stations.

No fear of losing any sleep when I used to host the 'all nighter'. Just try to stay awake - I dare you. LOL.

But that was a long time ago. I did it for 25 years, but I've been out of broadcasting for close to 20 years now. OMG, I guess that pretty much makes me older than dirt. So, none of the broadcasts survive - on the Internet or otherwise. Heck I'm lucky that I survive! But thanks for asking.
