+1 on Money! I can't play bass too well, but this is one riff I can fake my way through. I can also fake my way through Another Brick in the Wall Part 2.

Anything by Primus completely blows away anything that has been or will be suggested. Les Claypool's thumb = GOD

Welcome to the Forum Colinwilliams. there are many professional bass guitarists on this Forum and, as one, I would suggest playing every song that you hear and like on your bass guitar. most of them will have riff's that you will learn.

Really?

A 14 year old boy making definitive statements about anything is comical...... this post is absolutely hilarious.

Not being sure of your skill level or the style of music that you prefer, I'll throw out a few tunes that I always thought had cool bass lines --
Moondance -- Van Morrison
Maybe I'm a Leo -- Deep Purple
Wang Dang Doodle -- Willie Dixon
Stayin' Alive -- Bee Gees
Anything by Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, or Nathan East

Hope this helps!

--Bud

Keep on pickin' -- what else is there?

Wow, what age are you that you're in a position to demerit floyd's opinion?
