It really is a shame they don't have a few public days, I imagine they would be extremely popular. Oh well, I'll just have to settle for hearing about it from others.

Whoah almost missed this since I 've been watching all the NAMM videos posted on my facebook page. Fender did a great job at NAMM. Have a safe trip home and get a good nights sleep in your own beds for a change. Thanks Brad...

Definitely. Wonder if she's related to Amy Winehouse?

I doubt it, the Gretsch girl looks healthy unlike the last photo of Winehouse i saw in Rolling Stone :?:

Yes, I wouldn't really draw that comparison. Kim F. is a healthy, vibrant, and energetic young lady vs. Amy Winehouse who is a ... well, I'll let you complete that sentence. ;-)

More pics!

Chris Broderick and Dave Ellefson of Megadeth stopped by our Jackson area for interviews and an autograph session:

The show always has a way of bringing out attention-starved individuals and I'm pleased to report that this year's show is no exception:

Fender amplifier marketing manager Shane Nicholas demos the new G-DEC 3 Blues, Metal, and Country edition amplifiers. More details on these are here:

It's the 60th anniversary of the Telecaster® guitar and in celebration there's both a limited edition 60th Anniversary Telecaster® but in addition we'll be releasing 12 very-limited-run special edition Telecaster models. Here a consumer looks one of 'em over:

The obligatory daily photograph of Kim Falcon:

The guys from Simi Valley-based punk band Strung Out stopped by for an acoustic performance today:

Here's Billy Pirie talkin' shop in our Accessories division:

Mustang™ and G-DEC® 3 amplifier "test stations":

Fender's Rick Heins demos the new Mustang™ IV and G-DEC® 3 Thirty Blues, Metal, and Country edition amplifiers. More details on these are here:

A quick visit into no-man's land where, oddly enough, I received the red carpet VIP treatment and found all staff that I encountered genuinely cordial:

This kind gentleman in Gibson-land demoed the controversial new Gibson Firebird X for me:

In addition to being the 60th anniversary of the Telecaster® as previously described, it's also 60th anniversary of the Precison Bass® guitar and in celebration there's a limited edition 60th Anniversary P Bass® available (visit http://www.fender.com/products/60th-pbass/ for details):

Here we see the 60th Anniversary Telecaster® guitar flanked by 12 limited edition Telecaster® models that are being released to commemorate the anniversary. Er, 11 in this shot -- one had been taken down and was being tested by a booth visitor when I shot this. :-)
Image

Here's an unintentionally artistic shot of Fender's Jeff Owens in the bass amps booth; Jeff is our staff copywriter and another former bandmate of mine (we were in a cover band together a number of years back):
Image

Fender's Rick Heins demos the new G-DEC® 3 Thirty Blues, Metal, and Country editions. More details are at http://www.fender.com/gdec3/

Fender's Phil Short talks to a visitor in the SWR booth; Phil has a Tony Franklin signature fretless Precision Bass® strapped on:

Fender's Jeff Owens jams with a visitor to the bass amps booth:

Only at NAMM:

Pretty decent crowds all weekend; here's a shot late Sunday at about noon, just before the show started winding down:
Image

I hopped into the green room and managed to get in some fatigued Tele® pickin' right before departing for home:
Image

And finally, my very last shot of the show. Adios for another year, Fender green room!
Image

That's pretty much it as far as sharing a few glimpses of my own show experience this year -- as usual I've walked away from it both extremely fatigued but filled with memories that will last a lifetime. Hope you've enjoyed what I've been able to share here and I also hope you've been keeping an eye on the Fender Blog and Facebook page for additional coverage as well.

We'll go ahead and leave the giveaway open until Tuesday or Wednesday and then I'll select announce the winner right here on this thread -- stay tuned for that.

Meanwhile, I must admit, I'm looking forward to having Monday off. LOL! :-)

Awesome stuff once again Brad! I'm sure it was a hectic weekend, hopefully you got a chance to stop and take a couple breaths this weekends. Thanks for the photgraphic "ride-along" for those of us not fortunate to see it live.
Enjoy your extra day of rest!

Love the DX Tele with the Maple/Block inlays. It' a look I think is underdone, love the black blocks on maple...

The Kim falcon White Falcon is divine, as is it's namesake.

And OMG Jason Cruz! Strung Out is one of my favourite bands, An American Paradox and Blackhawks over Los Angeles are two of the best punk rock albums of the last 15 years.

Thanks for the great photos, Brad! I'm diggin' those position markers on the bottom row, just left of center, Tele. I've only seen that on Joe Messina's Tele (Motown's Funk Brothers) and obviously was a DIY job. Nice and enjoy the day off! 8)

Brad:

What about FSRs for 2011....do they get revealed at NAMM? I just bought a 2010, but it was like the last one, and I'm wondering what 2011 will bring.
