Wasn't the last Marshall he used the Plexi's with Cream.

I'd love to see one of them.
He had them in Hyde Park with Blind Faith..........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_iLZXjhI-g

I went ahead and ordered the preview book from GC, thought it would be cool to have, since I can't afford the guitars. ;)

man for that kind of cash, there are way to many newer cars out there that would just plain smoke that thing in looks and performance. way less money too.

Even if it is Lennon's car, the GT 2+2 was absolute tripe for the eyes, not to mention a real snoozer under the hood.

I thought he would have had better taste!

...Except - that the new news is that now exclusive to this network your intrepid reporter will be going along to the preview in a couple of weeks time, taking photos if permitted, and then coming back here to tell you what's actually in the auction. Because, given that they're trying to drum up sales, that Bonham's webpage is amazingly short on detail, to the taste of some of us round here.

Then this:

got an email from Guitar Center yesterday about this, they want $$25 bucks just for the damn auction pre-view catalog!! Stick it in your ear GC

- won't be necessary.

See how I'm stepping up for the Forum? :D

Cheers - C

I should try to checkout the LA preview. I think I'll be in southern cal sometime around then to take the kids to disneyland. The preview is only 3 days it looks like, so might be kind of tough though.

Is it commonplace for an auction house to charge for a pre-view?

depends if there is a high volume interest in the items being sold.
they like to make a buck where they can.
