I believe there's one or two Forum members with interesting things to say about how Clapton's amps are tricked out. Apparently this is the first time any of those have been put up for sale.

I'll try and get along to the London viewing and see if I can bag some worthwhile photos. If so, I'll post 'em here. Watch this space.

I'd be surprised if there are any bargains to be had. With all the advertising and marketing they have done for this auction, I bet nearly every item will go for it's absolute high end price if not more. It'll be interesting to see how it al turns out though.

To be honest, I would have loved to have Brownie over Blackie. I feel like Brownie experienced a lot more "go down in history" Clapton like Live at the Fillmore with Derek & The Dominos rather than 461 Ocean Blvd, blah blah blah that Blackie was akin to. I'm not saying Blackie is a lesser guitar, I absolutely love them both... but for what Brownie experienced, I could love to hold it for just a moment.

got an email from Guitar Center yesterday about this, they want $$25 bucks just for the damn auction pre-view catalog!! Stick it in your ear GC
also, if there's anything remotely famous up for auction, look for them to pay stupid money for it, then put out a "Tribute Edition" of whatever gear a year later.

Wasn't the last Marshall he used the Plexi's with Cream.

I'd love to see one of them.
