If there was only one LP/CD you could take with you to a desert island (with a suitable player and an endless electricity supply!), what would it be?

You can only pick ONE!

The Joshua Tree - U2. Oh hang on, what about Natalie Merchant's majestic 'Ophelia', or Emmylou's 'Wrecking Ball'.

No, as it includes the sublime 'With or Without You' it'll have to be The Joshua Tree.

I have to say that my choice would have to go between these two

(1) Anne Sophie Mutter. " Mozart's Violin Sonata's "
(2) Rachel Podger ( Baroque violin ) Complete Sonatas and Partitas for Violin Solo
Johann Sebastian Bach

Sorry no rock-roll, Blues, Country. For me If allowed only one of the above, Classical music is still light years away technically from Rock and Blues.

That's easy for me, Led Zeppelin III. For the acoustic work, I love it.

I'd have to flip a coin-either Jimi Hendrix-Electric Ladyland or Itzhak Perlman- Mozarts Violin Concertos-I have Anne Sophie Mutter's too but I prefer Itzhak's interpretation.

Tough one, actually. "Falling off a cliff" by Eileen Dover, perhaps? Seriously, Ultravox's "Lament" would be a good contender.
