So, I have a Line 6 Spider III, which I have had for a few years already. This past month I purchased a Vox AC4TV, and have only touched my Line 6 about twice since. I'm disappointed in the sound of the Line 6, now I understand why people love tube amps. Even with all the different settings on the Line 6, none of them sound as good as my Vox.

So this got me thinking, should I sell my Line 6 and pick up a Fender Champion 600 for clean sounds? I love the Vox, but the cleans on the Fender Champion sound better, and having both amps would fulfill my ear's needs (I don't gig). I just don't like the sound of solid state amps anymore, I have been spoiled by tubes.

What you guys think?

Having a Vox AC4TV, I don't know if you really need a Champion 600. I'm sure you can find a good clean sound out of the Vox.

I'm playing a Champion at home, and since I've got it, I rarely play my other amp, a Marshall JTM30 (a 2x10" 30w tube amp), because it's simply too loud for playing in my room.

Maybe you can consider changing your Spider III for a Line 6 POD... I use a Pocket POD and headphones to play when I'm practicing late at night, and sometimes I plug it through the Champion. It sound completely different... and funny!!!
