Just wondered if anybody else in the forum loves classic cars along with their guitars. Would this be Billy Gibbons syndrome? Any classic cars here. I have 69 mercury cougar cvt.

I owned a few "back in the day".

But all three of my current vehicles bear Japanese-branded hood ornaments.

I spent many of my teenage afternoons and nights under the hood ( bonnet ) of a 67 Camaro SS.
327, balanced blueprinted holley Carbs, about 600hp, High 10's, low 11's in the quarter.
Completely debadged except for the SS insignia in the central rear gas filler cap. We (pops and I) stripped the interior of every sound insulating panel, the color was a 74 cadillac green, sort of a Jade metallic green.
If no one has guessed by now, it was my Dad's and at the time in High School the closest I could come to a strat was The Ultimate Flying machine and the Alice in Wonderland take off versions in Poster form.

I don't own any, but love them ... Currently, I do own a heavily modified 2001 Mustang GT (hence my forum name) and also a Mazdaspeed MX-5 with the factory turbo.

I've had a couple of classic cars. A 68 Chevelle and a 68 Cutlass but I drive a Toyota now. I love the idea of the old classics but the economics of them are difficult to justify in my current fanancial state. If i should win the lottery I might find myself indulging in a long held love for the 65 GTO, the car that (for me at least) ignited my first love for muscle cars. I also like the 55 Chevy Bel-Air 2 door hard top

I sadly don't own a classic car anymore, I had a '71 Monte Carlo since high school that was half project half guinea pig. I learned how to rebuild motors thanks to that car; it went through 4 the whole time I had it. I sold it last year and bought a truck. Someday in the future though a '65 GTO or '66 442 would be nice.

only last year i gave up driving my heavily modded 1989 saab 900 t16s , it started off standard at 175 bhp and ended up a tranny crunching 245 bhp / 370 nmt 8) , the gearbox wasn't built/ designed for it , i used to go through 3 or 4 a year 8) and it could drink petrol at an astonishing rate as well :) ,i've also owned triumph dolomite sprints , mk1 ford escort and a few others , also some old $@! bikes when i was younger :D
