Does anyone have either of these or played either of these? I would like to purchase one or the other, but my shop does not have either in stock and I will have to order them in. I currently have single coils in my Strat, Humbuckers in my Jagmaster and a single coil and stacked humbucker (in the bridge of my) tele. I am kind of leaning towards the Custom II because it has the P90s in it.
Any thoughts would be great, or a comparison of the 2 if you have played them both.

You might get a better response if you post this in on the Squier board listed farther down in the forums.

I felt that more people visit the lounge than the Squier forum.

I saw the Squier Custom and Thinline at my local music store and though I didn't play eitherone I was impressed with the quality of the fit and finish-they both had natural finishes.

I have played the Custom II (the P90s attracted me, too) and I was very impressed with the fit, finish and playability. The only (very minor) gripe I had was the sharp ends on a few of the frets, but that was only on two spots and could be easily remedied.

I would buy one if the opportunity arose.

I have a blonde Custom II and for $250 this thing is a steal. The satin neck that most people complain about is as playable as my Hwy 1 and I like it, no sharp frets on mine, it's pups are good P90s. I won't ever get rid of this Squier.

I haven't ordered one yet, but I have been offered a used one in blonde for $180. the catch is he "spray painted it a sloppy black matte" to quote the seller.

He also says " The blonde is still under there if you want to work on it - personally, I think It sounds better in black - I know that sounds dumb, but - really."

I can buy a brand new one for $260 + tax. Any thoughts?

Should be able to get a new one for $250 without tax all day long, or even cheaper on Ebay. Here's one site

Thanks for the link. I will be purchasing it from Long and McQuade here in Canada because I got some gift cards for Christmas. I did check ebay incase I could get a goo deal on a used one, but I am a little apprehensive to buy a guitar from ebay, even if it is a Squier.
