Hi Nevin: when I was in a covers band many (many) moons ago we got hold of Sunshine On A Rainy Day by one hit wonder Zoe. We did a sort of Hey Jude or Magic Bus "building" type treatment on it, starting very quiet and rising to full on guitar mayhem, drum thrashing and the rest. The chorus became a kind of anthem that if we were lucky we had the whole audience singing along with. On a good night... it was quite fun! :D

If you don't know it you could find Zoe's version on YouTube. But (and I'm probably going to so badly regret saying this in public on the Fender guitar forum  ) I quite like Emma Bunton's take on it. ...There, I said it. And you know what? It feels good to have outed myself.

Oh the shame...

Anyway. That would be a fairly ridiculous one for you to cover. Go to.

Cheers - C (AKA Sad Spice)

British comedian Brian Conley once did an orchestral version of The Prodigy's "Firestarter". An acoustic guitar version would be quite interesting!
