What bands do you see being a force to reckon with in 2011?
The Vaccines
Cage the Elephant
Paint It Black

Man I sure hope 2011 has more to offer us than: The Vaccines,
Cage the Elephant and Paint It Black. But I won't hold my breath. Quality music has been dead for a long time and if these are the bands that will be a force in 2011, then I really have to question who is buying this mess other than pop culture hipster kids. No offense to OP though.

+1
Music has always changed through time and always will.
To those that lived thru certain times, that music will always resonate with them greater than the music before or after.
For the majority anyway i think.

As alway imho and fwiw

3 great bands from Canada's east coast: The Novaks,Hey Rosetta and Kujo would get signed in a second if someone from a major label was to hear them.

I must be getting old, I've never heard of any of these bands. I can't even think of a "new" band I like...maybe I need to expand my horizons.

I only know of these bands recently as they were on the Conan O'Brien show just before Christmas and once I heard them I rushed out and got their albums. They were also featured on consecutive nights. :)

They're unbelievable live. They were the support act at a gig I was at about a year ago and when they came on it was the only time I've ever been left speechless.
