I dunno, I mean under Gropius the Bauhaus churned out some bloody great stuff, stuff that lived up to that agenda.

Anyway, I love fender because they make beautiful guitars that just work.

I agree... but we needed a whole lot more Walter Gropius and a lot less La Corbusier, IMO. :D

After playing many guitars running the brand and non-brand name gamut. I love the sweet spot tone of a Fender on the upper treble region. With a nice tube amp, I think a Fenders' tone is what my brain has been trying to say.

I'm hoping to do a year abroad studying at the Bauhaus. Just need to learn German...Ach Nein!

I've been a Fender Stratocaster man for over 40 years. And yes, I've had many Strats throughout the many Fender "dynasties" including my share of Pre-CBS ones. So, I think I'm in a good position to comment:

The products this dynasty (FMIC) is putting out today is the best I've ever seen, heard or played. Yes, that includes in comparison to the Pre-CBS stuff too.

FMIC does not sit on their laurels. They are constantly 'tweaking' even the old standards, doing everything they can to make all their products better and better; some by leaps and bounds, some by the littlest of a detail which can make a world of difference to the player. And of course, they're always dreaming up new stuff too. Best of all, you don't have to offer up your lungs to own a piece of the action.

And I don't want to hear any crap about their quality control. It is outstanding and their instruments are consistently excellent.

Lastly, they care. Their Customer Service people are just as fantastic.

- Quality
- Innovation
- Responsiveness

Oh, did I mention their PRIDE?

No, I don't get paid for this, I just call it the way I see it!

Thanks, FMIC and may this dynasty reign forever!!

Here's one thing I really love about Fender. They haven't followed the evil Gibson lead of charging thousands for their guitars. Fender provides every bit the same quality, rockin vibe and fantastic tone...without ripping off their customers. There's no reason why the LP standard should be twice the price of the Am. Standard strat. Even the set neck and maple top doesn't create a cost difference of $1,000. Gibson just charges too much for it's name. That's one reason why I've been a Guild player for decades. Every bit the quality and tone of Gibson or Martin acoustics for less then half the price. I don't like paying for names. I like paying for tone and playability. Fender does that for me.

Their amps are comfortable, too. My old Deluxe '85 Red Knob was the only chair in my first Pad.

+1's to Miami Mike, Gravity Jim, Martian, and cryingStrat

Fenders also have that "I don't Know, I just like it" quality that's can't be explained.

About the guitars. I like the sound, the feel and the classic look. When I say 'electric guitar' I always (and perhaps always will) have Fender (Stratocaster) in mind. For me it's simple, but genius. For the amps I don't have a strong opinion, mostly I make my amps by my own. But as far as I played my Frontman 15g and FM212R I like them a lot.

They have that clasic look that you just have to fall in love with. Not too flashy, but cool nonetheless. Most importantly, they sound and feel wonderful!!! And they're also affordable, which is a huge pluss!!!!!! Thanks Fender!! Keep up the good work!!!!
