For picking, I like my Brossards Custom bone.
Image
It's stylish, virtually indestructable and matches my Strat.

Right now I'm using D'Andrea VIntage "heavy" picks.

I have a 1.14m gator that I tried out the other day that has quickly become my favorite. This after years of using Dunlop .73 nylons

It's funny because I have no idea where it came from. A pick from heaven, you might say 8)

Just go to the Brossard's Picks website. You can buy direct from their online store. They do some really nice stuff in bone, horn, abalone and all kinds of hardwoods. The Custom Bone (pictured) has a MOP star on one side and an abalone dot on the other, cost about $12. Here's the Ebony Racer.

These wooden ones are tougher than you think. I use them for Acoustic. The whole range are thick and beautifully shaped. It's all a matter of control. I no longer have any use for a flexible pick.

How about a nice pre-CBS Heavy? :D

No circled R on the logo, over 40 years old. It's too nice to use.
