anything thicker then .6 I hate thin picks and cannot play with them. I generally use fender mediums but I tend to not care as long as they are slightly thick.

I Usually Use Either .60mm Or .73mm Dunlop Nylon Picks. They Seem To Have A Better Grip Than Other Brands But I Buy The .60's By The 75 Pk Because They Bend After A While.

I've experimented with thumb and finger picks, big triangles, small teardrop-shaped heavy jazz picks, Tortex, Martins with the textured grip, but I always seem to come back to the classic Fender 351 Standard, medium in Lake Placid Blue. Lately, I've bought the same picks, but lights instead of mediums, in plain white, white moto, and abalone. I find these old hands can play faster with lights.

I Finally Took A Look At The V Pick Site. Is Anyone Finding That They Wear Out Your Strings Faster Or Damage Them In Any Way ? Especially The .9 Or .10 Gauge Strings ? Thanks.

well i've used various ones on and off for a year, and none of them really attack the strings, they sound like they are, but they come off the string like butter!

I started out with Fender Medium picks when i was playing classical and steel guitars ,since i had problems with strumming and i was picking hard on strings i switched to Fender Heavy , although the name on the pick wears out pretty fast i enjoy shredding and in overall pick is great, the only thing i hate is my fingers pretty much sweat :/

.63 tortex for my acoustic & .88 for my electric. The picks feel great, don't slip, and will last forever.

A variety, including fingers for classical and bass.

Many years ago, 'got a turtleshell wich is fragile but SO expressive for melodic jazz.

And back when, a Min'd Pick stone one.

Fender Heavy is a staple and most oft the carry-along.

Recently-ish purchased a couple V-Pcks and some pecan, ebony, rosewood, camel bone, horn, coconut and agate picks, which are definitely keepers and interesting and different-expressive.

Adding different pick materials etc. is in this opinion an adjunct to having different guitars, amps, effects, types and styles of music...more variety and exploration possible.
