I'm using .71 D'Andrea classic. I remember using Dunlop (tortoise?) med. for years. What are the best in your opinion? Any special sounding picks? I had some picks years ago that had a big diamond shape on the end, to teach you to only play with the tip. I think they were called stylus. Those were funny. :)

Oh yea, Other than "The pick of destiny"

Although I'm not a big fan of Dung Plop wah wahs I do love their 73 & 80 mm nylon picks -they're all I've used since they first hit the market.

I like a variety of picks
I use my fingers too.

But I prefer thick picks--I find they give me better control over my picking, and I like the tone better.

I mostly use Tortex 1.14 mm, but I also use Gator Grips, Wedgies, and various nylon picks in the 1.14mm gauge.

I also just started using a stone pick again after a number of years of not using one.
Got a new one from this place-http://www.fragmentsofthepast.com/index.html

Fingers and the med Delrin Fender (better grip) for electric, and a large Goldengate thumb pick for acoustic.

I am very picky (no pun intended) about what picks I use. It took me years, but I finally settled on the red Dunlop Tortex picks. Not sure what the thickness is but I believe it's .50mm. I can't really play at all with thick picks, and I break picks like the thin fenders and similar picks.

I've been using these exclusively for quite a while now. Love the shape and feel of them more than any others.

There are hundreds of them floating around this house. My biggest beef with them is, they're beige and so is my carpet!! Hahaha. If I drop one, it's not too easy to find.

I use a Dunlop 2.0 mm. I think it gives a much nicer tone and I prefer the feel over a thinner pick that tends to migrate around too much while I play. I realize that it's a much thicker pick than most folks like, it's just a personal thing for me.
