Hay,

I own a kramer aluminum neck bass. I want to know how many other people own one. It's a DMZ 6000B. I love it! It plays well. and I know what your thinking, That thing must have lots of neck dive. Well, YOUR RIGHT! but anyway, if you have an aluminum neck kramer, tell me about it.

Thanks.

Kim Mitchell of Max Webster played a Travis Bean on most of their first album and that sounded great.

Never owned one, but I remember when Kramer first came out and they had aluminum and wood/aluminum necks. :)

Interesting thread here. I have never heard of an aluminum neck guitar. But I looked up the Kramers and it seems like an interesting idea.

steve albini plays one of them...i agree, judging from the recordings i've heard from his band shellac, the tone really is very unique

Travis Bean guitars were legendary. Aluminum necks are great unless you play outside in the heat or cold. The cold is the worst. I tried one in an air conditioned place once and man was that neck cold. They did sound great though. They would sustain for days.
