Steve played a huge part in designing along with Tom Jennings some of the best and most famous amps Vox ever made along with the famous Vox Bulldog speakers.After Steve left Vox he went with Jim Marshall and Ken Bran and helped with the design of some of the best Marshall amps along with the Celestion Greenback speakers.Up until recently Steve has been designing specially voiced Wharfedale speakers for Vox amps.
Steve has now started building and designing his own amps under the brand name Albion.The amps will be either hand wired tube or hybrid for guitar and a line of bass amps. The prices will be quite competitive ranging from just $160 to just over $1,000 for the 100W head.I will be putting one of these puppies on my GAS list-imagine an amp with the sparkle and chime of an AC30 and the raunch and roar of a 1959 Plexi.To coin a phrase I'd call that aural sex. www.albionmi.co.uk
