Chuck Berry is another one who can rightfully claim being a true father of Rock and Roll. It will be a very sad day when Chuck is called to meet his maker but I have no doubt that when he goes he will go rockin' & rollin'.Hang in there Chuck and keep rockin".

Mojo to Chuck and to Brian Setzer !!!

A foot injury might not sound that bad, but I believe that
he is a diabetic and that changes everything.

Thanks Blinkers. It got really cold here yesterday and just about everybody I talked to was feeling under the weather (no pun intended) after the 50+ temperature on New Years Eve. The temp dropped down to 20 by early morning Jan. 1st. If you've ever been to Chi-town you know that when it gets cold fast like that everything goes haywire. Here's hoping Mr. Chuck Berry is feeling better soon.

that didn't take long.

Well in short Chuck got a woman he met a job at a local club as a hat check girl (i know he was getting some from her too, but that's besides the point) she ended up going to a local hotel and trying to be a tramp, when she called her "home" town police to find a way home, they turned it around on the poor black man and gave him "transporting a woman across state lines for immoral purposes" and 3 years in prison at the peak of his career, (this ones gunna hurt me) which allowed good ol' white boy Elvis to raise up and take his place and the king of rock and roll.

By the way she was Native American, and being native there where no border laws back then, so it was just people being racist, that's all.

anyway i didn't mean to hijack the thread.

I hope all with Chuck is well and that he may recover. I still look forward to maybe even seeing him live before him or I leave this world.
