A very Happy New Year to everyone -- hope everyone's having a great day and that everyone's successfully recovering from last night's festivities. :-)

Just wanted to quickly thank everyone for helping make our recent transition to this new forum software almost completely painless! There are absolutely some weaknesses in profile editing that we'll be refining in the weeks and months ahead -- understood. But I have to say, I've naturally been doing this sort of thing for a while now and I've truthfully never seen a major transition of this nature handled so completely cordially, respectfully, and with consistent positivity than it has been by this group. I think that really speaks to the quality of the individuals hanging out here. I'm hearing more and more frequently of folks starting to forge actual real-world strong friendships here and that really makes me happy to hear -- now that we have more features like PM and avatars and whatnot enabled I'm hoping this will become the case even more so as we move forward.

On a personal note, I have to admit that I'm honestly thrilled to say goodbye to 2010 -- it's been an extremely rough year on a personal basis for myself but also for a number of folks that are near and dear to me. I'm already finding myself with genuine newfound enthusiasm for the new year and what it'll bring. Got things started right last night with some great music -- Ed Kowalczyk ("Live" frontman) was here in Phoenix and the performance was simply fantastic, although it was an outdoor concert in frigid weather -- I'm still shivering just thinking about it. :-)

Best wishes for a great 2011 to you and yours, and I look forward to your continued participation here!

Brad, if there's a more understanding webmaster for a guitar forum such as this I haven't met him (or her) yet.

You put the "G" in gentleman, sir!

(hand salute)

Arjay

I'll second that from a mate I have personally had the pleasure of raising a glass with, and we had to seize the opportunity of a chanced journey across the pond just to make it happen. Thanks for bringing such an extremely talented, varied and gifted company together under one roof. 8)

Doc

Brad Happy New Year.

I gotta agree with you. 2010 was a horrible year for me too. Pretty much what the Queen termed 1992, a annus horribilis, during her christmas speech that year...

Which did make me giggle for all the most infantile of reasons.

Happy New Year Brad, wishing you and yours and your team a great 2011! When you wrote "thank you" to us Forum members it made me smile :D because the not so secret rumor around here is we like hanging out with you Bro, so, you're welcome and thank you for having this very cool Forum. You are the best moderator that this group of guitar playing cyber-surfers could have ever hoped for!
