I'm after some helpful advice for a project my friend and I are considering embarking on. Recently we saw a Fender neck signed TG dated 11/1950. It looked legitimate enough as I recall Clapton's Broadcaster and the handwriting was almost identical. We then came across a body by the same guy, but the signature was totally different - it was not initialized "TG", but "Tadeo". We want to piece together a TG body and neck and complete it with 1950 hardware. It's purely a project of love - not profit and we want to keep the end result as we both have a passion and respect for this guitar and it's creator. Is there anyone at Fender or in the Fender Universe who can reasonably "authenticate" (note the talking marks) whether we are about to purchase true TG craft?

Thanks Nevin. Yeah. They're the ones. The TG neck looks right, but $5,000???? That seems cheap. The body though, I'm not sure on.
