ok guys i need your help.
i have an old dunlop (flop for some of us)
crybaby pedal. yrs ago i pulled the on/off
switch because it just stopped working.
well i put the pedal on the shelf and left it.
yrs go by and i just ordered a switch and its here.
problem is, i forgot which wire goes where.
i found several wiring diagrams on the net but none
have wire color codings. so does anybody
know where i can get a pic of the hookup, showing
what color wire goes where?

I dunno if these are any help or not but this is a Dunlop Cry Baby that I've owned for about twenty years. AFAIK, it's all original so the wire colors may be similar to yours......

Here's a pic.

The green goes to the single lug. The 2 blue goes to the lug near the toe. The purple goes to the lug nearer the heel.

Mr. Nevin beat me to it.

If you have problems with the pot I put a black bear in mine and it works great.

North Star Audio makes great pots that have the same taper and value as the original Jen and Vox pedals from the 60s you can find them here: www.northstaraudio.net or you can email the owner directly tomlanik@earthlink.net .

cool links guys.

one thing i havent been able to find, EVER, and a challenge to the best
internet researcher, the little rubber gasket/o-ring looking thing the thumb screw
on Boss pedals rides up and down in. i cant find one nowhere.
its the same part theyve used on their pedals for decades too.
know what im talkin about?

Possibly a DPDT. You can use a multi meter to check the 6 poles to see which ones are going to open the on and the off. BYOC's wah instructions has a layout of the wiring for their 3PDT switch where they use only the DPDT function of the switch.

i have some boss pedals but have never seen replacements for those rubber o ring things... what you could do is put a piece of fuel line over the actual screw... (the fuel line you get in them lil nitro rc cars... )... there are normaly 2 different sizez...try the thinner one... works on mine...
