Well....its been a little over a week since the procedure and the night pain is gone from my right hand and arm :D .They were able to do an endoscopic tunnel release instead of lacing the palm of my hand wide open  .I have a small 1/2 to 5/8 incision on my wrist but I have some gnarly bruising in the palm of my hand and wrist area. The stitches came out yesterday. It is extremely sore but that is to be expected. The Doc said to start out by massaging the wrist and palm of my hand daily and than we will start some physical therapy soon.I am gonna go ahead and do surgery on the left hand in 3 weeks and I should be back up and playing in no time.In the meantime, I'm gonna be focusing my musical energy on blowin some mean harp and vocals instead of playing guitar.
I will keep all posted on the progress in the next coming weeks for anybody else that is interested in the end results or may be considering this same procedure and suffering like I was.So far...I am happy with not having the gnarly pain I was experiencing, especially the numbing at nightime that would wake me up.I am still dealing with the left hand pain but that will be resolved soon.It was wearing on me hard and taking its toll both physically and mentally on me :( .I wouldn't wish that on anybody...except those that I hate ...J/K   Really happy with the results so far.
Peace be to all and Happy New Year everyone!
Eric

Eric, sounds like you are on the mend, thank you for the update, Chicago mojo coming your way still and hoping the next surgical procedure is good too. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year!

Good to hear your on the mend scarleg, always loved the harmonica / harp, thought about giving it a go, the lack of a sound proof practice room a problem though, for the missus that is

good to hear scarleg, take the physio very seriously. i didn't in the early days as i didn't understand what the consequences would be, and now i'm paying for it. keep us updated, and again take your rehab seriously

good news to hear bro. it would be interesting to hear a blow by blow
of how it all went down for those thinking of getting the surgery themselves.

You have gotten over the hard part, making up your mind to have it done and that part is pretty scary.

See to it that what you do with your hands using that 'harp' is consistent with your therapy.

Glad to hear that everything went well Eric,of course you know that when you get in playing shape it's essential to buy a new guitar to celebrate.Happy New Year to you and your family.

Good to hear things went well. Healing is easier when you have a desire to do something like playing a guitar. Excellent therapy for hand, arm, shoulder recuperation!! Good luck with it. Oh, and your attitude has got to be a big plus too!

Cheers,
