Well if you are intimidated by hot guitarists, and feel the need to put it away...stay away from Nashville.

along side his personality and music tastes.

and i excited lol.

thats the beauty about collecting. THERE ARE NO RULES.
collect what you like. nothing wrong with RI's bro.
i like them just as well as the originals in most cases.
honestly, i want to get a couple MIM strats.
i just dont know what to get yet. i like them. you
dont have to worry about beating them up, and you
can mod them into a better quality guitar if you should so
desire. i want at least 3 or 4. a solid white jimmy vaughn is
a must have. i also want 1 more HW1 too.
if i get myself a sig guitar i want a Robert Cray model.
those guitars are as about regular as they can get but
dangitt, they are beautiful to look at. they sound amazing too.
pure clean tones.

I am 2,700 KM away from Nashville. Meh.

That's not a bad thing, really it's hard to be a guitar player and play here in Nashvegas...lots of times I've wished I was somewhere else, but I'm too old to let it bother me much now.
Some players get lucky and make it,most don't,and I'm not talking about being famous...just making a living.
That's why I have a day job. :)

Intimidated, No, it is more the case of going home and reflecting on what I just heard but more importantly the technical part of that session.
When listening to a recording, it isn't very clear as to how the player is accomplishing what I'm hearing. But watching live in a small venue at a workshop, that is worth more than a dozen methodology and technical books. (it also takes the magic out of it but..)

I had the same responses with other worshops I attended, Pierre Bensusan and Peppino D'agostino, no slouches there

On a separate thread, to list whom I'd like to attend a workshop by ??
Albert Lee, Jorma Kaukonen, Vince Gill (of course), Stefan Grossman, the list could be too long for this post....

I know what you mean 53magnatone,I went to a guitar clinic that Jack Pearson held back in Nov. and even though he explained what he was doing,it was still very complicated at times and hard to absorb it all.I have watched him play in small clubs many times and talked to him about his technique, but to watch him,it seems like it's effortless for him.
