Okay, I said I'd never do it. I said country music would never come from my guitar. Well, curiosity has got the better of me and I'm trying to duplicate that country tone that comes from a Tele on nearly every song
on the radio. I just cant seem to get that type of twang when I play. Maybe there is some equip I need. I don't really know. I have an American Tele, tweed HRD, N.O.S Blues Jr., and even a Vibro King Custom amp, but that type of tone is just not there. I've never liked most pedals, but maybe that is what is missing. Maybe country tone just wont come out of these Blues/Rock fingers of mine. :? Any Suggestions out there?

Try adding a bit of slapback delay and use the bridge pup.

If you have never heard this, then RUN out and pick up Commander Cody's " We Got a Live One Here " !! It's one of the ultimate live country rock albums that features Bill Kirchen; a great Tele player - check him out on You Tube. Along with Kirchen is Bobby Black, a superb pedal steel guitarist and one of the best harmonica players ever... Norton Buffalo !!! They play stoned out country-rock blues and this was their finest moment . You can tell they're having a blast !!!!!!!!!!! :D
