VOX V847

It just sounds cool! I've only tried the Crybaby by Dunlop to compare it to and liked the Vox better.

I've used a Cry Baby but I prefer the one on my Boss ME25 now.

The original Vox Clyde McCoy is my first choice and the original Jen CryBaby is second. The new pedals don't even come close but the Vox is still the better one.

Unfortunately I was not into guitars when the good ones were out. So now these days I am collecting info on how to make a semi decent one out of my 07 "dumbflop" (niki's term)

im currently working with a dunlop and a old
morley PWB wah. im thinking about just giving those away and buying a new one.
the PWB is 3 functions in 1 for those not in the know. its a sweet pedal but im growing tired of it.

The Ibanez weeping demon
http://www.ibanez.com/electronics/model-WD7

-You can choose auto or manual operation
-easy on batteries
-no noise
-Can choose Normal(a la Jimi wah sound)
or high(a la Hammett Wah sound) and you can then fully adjust the vocal tone and depth of it with its three push in locking knobs

it's brilliant, I am all about the carry one wah instead of 4 to get a gig done and this one does it great plus it still sounds better then every wah i have tried except for the Morley Tremonti and it was close!

i got sick of modding all my dunlop wahs, i have a box full of em

Yeah blame me for coining a phrase. It's not my fault their products inspire me so!

Anyways mods.
Good if brief pages to go with what you've already collected.

http://www.wah-wah.co.uk/

http://www.diyguitarist.com/DIYStompboxes/WahMod.htm

http://www.geofex.com/article_folders/wahpedl/wahped.htm

That last one is hard work, unless you already understand the circuit. But stick with it, the same authors writings on FuzzFaces is tremendous once it's understood.

The BYOC Vintage Wah pedal works well for me, with a few mods.

I like the sound and range of the Morley but the heal down thing throws me off. and it's huge.

I have a Dunlop Crybaby that I switched out the pot for a black bear pot.

I also have a Shortboard for my Spider amp and I think the built in Wah is excellent, and I usually will use that one when I feel like making her cry.
