I am going through yet another country/rock phase. I have always been a keen Eagles fan (saw them at Earls Court in 2001), I love Bon Jovi's "Lost Highway", Kid Rock's "Born Free", Brooks & Dunn, etc.

Could anybody please recommend specific albums that are in a similar musical vein? Please do not be afraid to state the obvious as I may not have heard of the album/artist!

Thanks!

You could try Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's-Modern day romance, Amazing Rhythm Aces- Third rate romance, Even Rollings Stones-Dead flowers just to name a few. These are prettye easy and fun too. Good luck

Give Steve Earle's "Copperhead Road" a listen -- there's some great tracks on that album.

Possibly a little too country and the sound is a little dated but it's not bad at all.

I'm already a fan of Brad Paisley, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Lady Antebellum and Lonestar, (early) Johnny Cash but I'll check out the others. Oh, I like Chris LeDoux as well. Thanks!

Country music suffers from an uncool image over here, being associated with line dancing and people shouting yee-hah, which is imho unfair. Lady Antebellum recently tried to break into the UK market with "Need you now" (albeit with a different, less country guitar solo) but don't seem to have got very far. Garth Brooks managed to get into the charts with "The Red Strokes", as did Billy Ray Cyrus' "Achy Beaky Heart". So bless Spotify for helping me discover new artists!
