If you go to the center of the body it is the same thickness as a Strat.

Yes, It is very comfortable to play!!!

Wow!

Chet mate, that is a stunning specimen you have there! That walnut cap is very tasty indeed. 8)

What are the pups like?

Enjoy!

It's not a cap. They call it an "Insert". They route out the body and put in binding then a thin piece of the burl walnut is inserted into the body. It looks pretty cool. I'll try to get a close-up pic of part of it later today.

The pups are pretty decent. I still need to adjust them to find my sweet spot and can give a better description then.

I have never seen that done either.

They did a thin route in the headstock and placed binding in there too.

I love the burls in the wood,it looks like it came from the dash of a vintage Rolls or Bentley and just oozes class-another great buy.

Very nice - not seen a cherry sunburst walnut one up until now!

I've been keen to try a Taylor Solidbody for a while but had no luck so far. I did try a T3 last December and it was absolutely wonderful - flawless construction and finish, exactly as you'd expect from a Taylor. Hope you enjoy your new guitar, man!

Cherry Sunburst? It's the flash that made it look that way.

Wow...That's pretty cool. Never seen a guitar built like that before, I wonder how long it'll be until other companies try to copy the binding method? Seem like something that could catch on.
