That was clear. We've run through this elsewhere. Agreed. The whole business is a joke. Gibson's been doing some really weird-ss stuff in the last several years. They should stick with what they do best. This is hardly "the guitar that started it all" unless you specify what "it all" is. Certainly not rock and roll, nor Clapton's career. The Telecaster he's seen playing in that early Yardbirds footage was probably his first serious guitar, not withstanding what he's pictured playing with 'The Roosters'. So Gibson comes into life a bit down the road.

I can think of a lot better things to do with 14 grand than opt for EC`s signature. I`d rather donate it to the Smile Train and help some of the poor children born with a cleft palete and help give them a normal life. The entire operation cost $250, 14 grand can go a long way. I`ve done this before and they even send you a picture of the child you helped. Its just giving back for all the materialistic things that come our way.
