Niiiice! I'll bet it sounds great.
But I don't believe for a second that it's the last guitar you ever buy. Maybe you think that now, but just you wait.

It is funny that you ask that. I think (not totally sure, though) that they just added Wine Red to the available colors (Ebony, Cherry Burst, Tabacco Burst). I was on the fence between the Wine and Cherry Burst, but in the end opted for the Cherry Burst as GC had it in stock -- I found the guitar particularly nice looking and (surprise, surprise) it played great. But the Wine Red would look awesome ... no doubt.

I still haven't gotten used to the look of opencoils on a LP but sure like being able to split them.

My 1st last guitar was a Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top, bought used over 35 years ago at Atlanta's Rhythm City. My latest last guitar was a Line 6 Variax 700. I think my next last guitar will be either a Rickenbacker 365 or an Airline knockoff from Eastwood.com. :) .

Good to hear. Just brought my new '57VHR home. The Clapton and The Gilmour, like the two true royals they are, turned their backs on it. The VG, set to baritone voice, in stentorian fashion, boasted of its own multiple features and fuller v-neck. The Les Paul remained seated proudly in its own space. Doesn't talk to Fenders. Hasn't said a word to them since it came into the house 9 years ago. The 'newbie' looked at them, looked at me, winked and said imperiously..."F--k' em all!! After a little tuneup, you and I are gonna get along jes' fine. 8)

Doc.
