Today we lost an excellent songwriter and guitar player. She was both creative and crossed racial barriors in the late seventies.

I was reading an article earlier today about some of the notable musicians that we lost during 2010 besides Teena Marie, such as the singer of the Knack, Doug Fieger, Captain Beefheart, Norton Buffalo, Mitch Miller, The Boxtops' Alex Chilton, Lena Horne, Marvin Isley, Paul Gray, Dave Fisher, Ronnie James Dio, Larry (LA) Johnson, producer for Neil Young, Bobby Charles, co-writer of 'Walkin' to New Orleans', Solomon Burke, Herb Ellis, Teddy Pendergrass, Kate McGarrigle, Pete Steele of Type O Negative, Paul Gray (Slipknot) and Michael Larsen (Eyedea), Richie Hayward of Little Feat and many others. It made me think just how vulnerable we all are.
