it doesn't need a gun licence either because it takes about 3 days to load the thing

What an awesome thread here. When I travel abroad I can't stand lying on the beach and to nothing. I want to go to places where history happened. I have been to some historical places such as Auswitch, Krakow, Paris, Vienna, Berlin and many more thanks to Interrail (that would be Eurorail to our American friends).
I have a accoustic guitar from my grandmother which she learned to play on in the first half of the 20th century. Thanks to members here on Fender Forums it may have been I.D. as a Swedish Levin or it might also been handmade by a local handyman in my grandmother hometown of Húsavík and stylished after Levin. I haven't managed to match my guitar to any other Levin though bits of it match one kind of Levin while another bit matches a diffrent Levin, and there is no manufacturer named on/in the guitar except some hand written numbers with a pencil. So I am leaning towards a handyman.

It's the one on the right. The other one is my Fender CD-60.

Back in the days of the mammoths Iceland was just a volcanic rock under a huge pile of Ice we now know as the North Pole, it has shrunk a bit since then

My country of birth once owned a 828,800 sq.m., millions of years old piece of American land and sold it to the United States in 1803 for $219 million in 2009 dollars. They've been laughing at us ever since...

The definition of Vintage in the U.S of A. versus the same definition in Europe has a slight discrepancy of a few centuries

Oldest that comes to mind for me would be a 20 page Race program from 1896.
It is a Bicycle Track Racing Program from Boston Mass. illustrated with various advertisements and athletes bio's and pen and ink illustrations.
A friend of mine gave it to me many moons ago, he found it while cleaning his grandmothers attic. A great irony here stateside is that during that time, of the late 1890's to early 1910-15, the highest paid athlete in the USA was Major Taylor. An African American who was so gifted ( his era's Eddy Mercx ) that Babe Ruth would often go see him race. Sadly as so many successful athlete's, musicians, (pick a Field ), he died pennyless and pretty much forgotten until more recent times

Books, lots of books from the early 1800's, some Civil War items. Also fossils of trilobites and fish that are pretty darn ancient.

...and 8-Track tapes!

Think though how cool they were at the time. You could play whole ALBUMS in your car! :D

Too bad the tracks always changed in the middles of songs. :?

They do seem like relics now, so do cassettes and even CD's. Heck even mp3's are unnecessary if you have Pandora or MOG.

And my daughter thinks my LP's are hilarious. Oi.
