Squier guitar for Rock Band 3

I want to pre-order the guitar for Rock Band 3, but I'm reluctant to without any word of when the guitars are going to be shipped. Does anyone know what the release date is? I heard March 1st before but that was with pre-ordering starting Jan 1st.

Is there any word about different guitars being available, or different colors? If it's $280 you should have some options.

yeah we play guitar with strings.. wish i could help you but as good as i am at guitar i suck at rockband. go figure.

rockband 3 has a "real" guitar that you can actually play
