I own 2 basses...a new Squier CV Jazz..plus a modified 90's Samick fretless with Am. Standard Fender PJ configuration/with Bada$$ II Bridge.

The Squier will have no modifications.

The cheapo Samick has what appears to be a rock maple, quartersawn neck. Strongest I've played on. Also has like a over a half inch of rosewood for a fretboard!! It's one of the lightest basses I've seen, which is good to have for that extra fretless resonance.

Later on(like a year from now, or so) I plan on buying a Yamaha 6-string TRB Contrabass if I can find one used. They are the only sixers with what I consider proper string spacing.

I own only four now.. 62 Kay/Silvertone electric, 06 Ibanez Artcore AK86 jazzbox, 98 Takamine Jasmine s35, and a 07 factory upgraded Takamine EG334ce.
I used to own an 09 Agile AL3100, 70's Teisco Fatstrat, and a Eteban POJ.
I'm getting the Teisco back hopefully soon though and i wish i still had the Agile. They both are as heavy as tanks but the sweetest tones came from those monsters.

Let's see....

1. Fernandes Strat LE2z SSS - maybe 2001
2. Ibanez Artcore AF75 -
3. Takamine 12 string acoustic/electric
4. 2001 Hamer Sunburst Flattop
5. Epiphone 1975 Cabalaro - Japan (completely remade-frets, bridge, nut, tuners)
6. Yamaha Classical
7. Aria Strat copy SSH
8. Squier Tele Custom II - black model
9. Some piece of crap Ovation lookalike acoustic electric made in Tawain. I can't give it away!

Oh and a Ukelele - forgot who made it.

I'm currently looking for a trade of the Ibanez for a Fender Strat.....doubt I'll find one, but I know I can't buy one anytime soon.

One guitar, four basses. They are the three instruments mentioned in my sig, plus a new amber Squier VM Precison, and an SX Ursa-1 P Bass. All Fender or "Fender-ish", if you will.

There's a sad story that goes with my '65 Strat.I made the mistake of letting a friend talk me into getting it refinished when it was only 9 or 10 years old.Long story short he made a balls of it and stripped a lot of wood from the body to get the finish off.I was so upset that I took the hardware and everything else off the original neck and body and put it all in a solid walnut body and neck from Double Eagle guitars with L series Strat specs. I still have the original neck and body and some day I intend to refinish the original body in Fiesta Red or Sonic Blue and put the original workings in it at least even though it would still be refinished it would be all '65 Strat.

Fender world
Strat AmStd SSS - 2002
Strat AmStd HSS - 2008
Mustang "Racing Stripe" - 1971
Tele - 1994 Mint Green (I think)
Tele - 2006 Ash
Tele - 2002 Hwy 1
Tele - Jim Adkins model (got it about a month ago)
Thinline '72 reissue (MIJ)
Thinline '69 RI in Lake Placid blue (one of my favorites)
(Gee, do I have a Tele addiction????)

Related:
DeArmond (Guild) M75T
Guild X 150 D - 1998? (best dating possible) made in Westerly - sweet for old school jazz!

Non-Fender
SG (1996) Standard
SG - p90s
Yamaha AES 1500 semi-hollow

Breedlove CR25 acoustic
Epi "Masterbilt"
These two cover a decent range of acoustic sounds, easy players and not horribly expensive.

Basses
J-Bass 2001 Deluxe
P-Bass 2006 Hwy 1
Fender fretless P/J 1983 MIJ
Ocean (I was told this is/was a GC brand) fretless with active pups; very thin fast neck but it eats batteries like I owned Rayovac stock
SG Reissue (EB3)
Epi "Viola" bass (like the classic Hofner violin bass but a bit larger -- and with just a little more "woody" tone as a result)

The latest - hasn't arrived yet - a 1995 MIJ 65 Mustang Reissue

And one no name violin ...
