Three electrics:

Early 1990s MIA 1962RI Stratocaster (modified to my specs)
1995 MIM Telecaster (highly modified to my specs)
1980 G&L F-100 (dead stock)
...I also have access to my duaghter's Squier Mini-Strat (she occasionally will let me play it) :)

Two acoustics:

mid-80s Fender F250 (my first guitar!)
a very old Fender acoustic with a Florentine cutaway (I was told it was from the early 70s, but have no documentation of any sort)

One Bass:

1973(?) Ampeg Big Stud Bass

One Mandolin:

Epiphone "A" type

The only guitar (of the dozen or so other guitars I've owned) I regret selling is the old G&L Nighthawk that was lost in the great Mortgage Payment Guitar Collection Massacre of 1996.

It's never enough.

Although, frankly, I'm running out of room. No guitars bought in 2010-- so far.

;)

It's early yet.

Still, the original question reminds me of an old axiom: Fear the man who owns only one gun--he probably knows how to use it.

I'll post pics later.

Here's the electric guitars (20) and bass guitars (5), I believe that's 25:

Here's most of the acoustics (another 2, one 6-string and one 12-er):

The mandolin is my dad's and has been returned to him, however, I now have 2 acoustic-electric mando's (a Washburn Oscar Schmidt and a Fender).

Oh, and one super-cheapie acoustic-electric:

So, 20 electric guitars + 5 electric bass guitars + 2 acoustics + 1 acoustic-electric = 28.

I think.

:D

Some of those Oscar Schmidt guitars are pretty nice. I picked up a Uke for next to nothing and the thing came stock with real Grovers. Beautiful Koa too. I'll have to dig that up now and give it a tune... Summer's almost here. :)

Although, I'd also fear the man who has two dozen guns-- he probably won't run out of ammo.
