In the most recent issue of GW Mike Ness the leader/founder of Social Distortion attributes the change for the better and and more enhanced guitar sound on their latest album to the use of Fender Bassmans.Ness uses a Bassman head with 2X4-12 Marshall 1960 cabs loaded with Celestions. He didn't however fill us in on what year and model Bassman he used.If the sound of his Bassman is anywhere near my old '69 I can see it making a great impact on the sound-they're killer amps.
