so when it comes to wearing sunglasses, do you choose expensive, sleek-looking ones? or do you tend to stay true to ZZ Top fashion and just grab some cheapos?

i know my brother in law as picky about his glasses and likes the expensive ones. me, i prefer the old school $1.00 ones from walmart or a gas station. i look good in em 8)

I used to only buy cheap sunglasses. The most expensive pair I ever had until recently was $30.00. My wife bought me a pair of Oakleys a year ago and I have never been so careful with a pair of shades before!

I have Hugo Boss with precription glasses... does that answer your question :D
But those glasses were (to my surprise) cheaper than most of my regular glasses.

I wear Oakley half wires. My dad gave me an old pair of his when I was little, since then I've owned quiet a few pairs. They are awesome glasses.

If you value your eyesight, you would never buy a cheap pair of sunglasses. they need to be optically clear, and cheap plastic is not.

I've worn the same type of sunglasses for forty years -- the GI-issue aviator glasses made by American Optical. Before retiring from the military I used to get them for free from the unit's supply section. I stocked up on them before I left, along with several new pairs of Nomex flyer's gloves (they're great for driving too).

I have some of the GI-issue aviators, but usually wear my
photo-grey or transition scripts.

You only get one set of eyes so I don't go cheap on protection.I spent alot of time on the water (sportfishing) and the sun and reflection off the water will kill your eyes in a heartbeat. Most people have no idea how damaging the suns rays can be on eyes.I only wear polarized lenses as they are very easy on the eyes.Kaenon makes one of the best sunglasses out there but Arnettes or Maui Jim will do just fine. They are not cheap....but it beats being blind.
Downside is you gotta take care of your glasses and not lose em.I wear a sun glasses tether on mine and no problem...they are always on my face or around my neck.I learned the hard way and lost a few pairs overboard trying to gaff or leader fish.

The same goes for those who enjoy the winter sports wherever snow is present.

Scarleg and Jeffytune are absolutely 100% correct......protect your vision!

Maui Jims. Like has been said, you only have one pair of eyes. Not something to cheap out on!
