The Rolling Stone lists are as lame as their dumbass magazine. Rolling Stone has become nothing more than a People magazine gossip rag. They used to be great, it's a real shame as to what they've become. They rated Kurt Cobain over Peter Green. Really?

agreed. the rolling stones rates David Gilmour as number 82. what the hell were they smoking? hes better the half of the people they put on there, he should be at least in the top 30 if not higher.

any "top guitarist" list that doesn't include Rory Gallagher , at least in the top 20 should be over looked. rollingstone is worthless anyway. it's entertainment for the "sheeple". the real top guitarist list is in your heart and soul.

Or better yet create our own list, by musicians for musicians. Rolling Stone Magazine has been sucking pretty hard for at least the last 2 decades. Maybe we can leave off, John Mayer, Kenny Wayne Shepard, and the other face making Jonny Lang and any other Strat with a hat. Only seriously original guitarist need apply. Was Segovia or Django Reinhardt on the list? I got pissed after Cobain and stopped looking.
