my girlfriend decided to have xmas early this yr.
she cant stand to buy me something then have to wait to give it to me lol.
truth is we are headed to MI for xmas to send it with my brother.
ive only seen him once in 20 yrs. (long story but we got seperated and lost contact
with no way to find eachother) plus this is my first xmas with family since 1982.
my brother and i are all thats left period. so im looking forward to MI.
he has no idea im coming.

ok so my g.friend insisted that i open 1 gift tonight that ended up a domino effect.



this is a egnator rebel20 with a avitar 1x12 w/celeston greenback 30 inside.
ok so the cab is red. it was actually ment for another application but sounds killer
with the egnator. i'll buy a egnator 2x12 somewhere down the road.

next was a sony portable dvd play w/LCD screen. this thing looks better than my
wide screen HD tv i swear it.

i got the complete ana popovic collection plus her live dvd.

then came the guitar mat and neck rest and a soldering station for the work bench
im building in the jam room, while im building the jam room lol.

of course theres the ever present socks/draws present we guys seem to get.

the clapton 2010 dvd was included as well.


i wont bore you with the other odds and ends type stuff but i made out like a bandit lol

Very nice and congrats on a great girl scoring you the goods.My family is not doing presents this year.We are struggling to just to keep our house in this economy and keep current on the bills.I am grateful that we just have a place to live and our kids have food.They could use some clothes and I am sure they would love some cool gifts but this is the year with no Santa Clause for our family.Enjoy those cool new toys ...I know I would Happy Holidays

I was a painting contractor before this economy and building took a huge dump and I was stricken with severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and degenerative disc disease all at once.It has been a rough year but we are getting through a day at a time.I get to spend the holidays with my kids and wife and that is what is really important.They understand our financial situation currently and just roll with it.They are the greatest kids ever and know that I will make it up to them when I can. I raised them to help others and be proud of what they have and give when they can...it will always come back around.When I was younger I spent some holidays alone too...it sucked ,so I know how you felt.Happy Holidays to ya

i know things seem grim and your probably tired of hearing folks tell you things will get better, but its true, they will. thinking positive and doing positive things in down times
ALWAYS pays off. sounds like you have a understanding family. yes it sucks but you guys are pulling eachother through these hard times as a family. that makes you stronger as a family. in these parts strong tight families are getting harder to find.

you dont know the half of it. the one time i did see my brother in the last 20 yrs was to say goodbye. he was given 3 days to live. he was a bad drunk and his liver all but completely shut down on him. by the grace of God and prayer, that was 5 yrs ago.
they hired a detective to find me a yr before. he hasnt touched a drop of beer or booze since i saw him last. that kind of alcoholism has did some damage to him, but not as much as it could have. hes up and running about with great recovery. he wont ever be as good as he once was, but hes alive ya know.
