I just got a notice from Fender's Facebook site that Prince had Yuriy Shishkov- the Russian born luthier of Fender's Custom Shop- build him a one off Strat completely covered in gold-leaf.He will play it once at a concert and then auction it off to benefit a Harlem Children's charity. I guess under all that purple exterior there beats a heart of gold.

That's very Cool. I always thought Prince was good at "his thing" never was my thing, but nonetheless. I read a concert review on a Prince show once. The critic was raving about Princes' playing, and he said of the performance...."Prince was cooler than the other side of the pillow". Great Review.
