I need some general information on the Boss Me 25 from owners. I have been thinking about buying one of these, but not sure about it.

1. Are the Distortions comparable to the regular Boss Distortion boxes on the market?

2. Is it as user friendly as Boss boasts?

3. Is it really built like a tank like other Boss pedals or a little more delicate?

4. Is the USB port and software user friendly for recording, or does it sound like rubbish when played back?

5. Are the amp models decent, or crap?

Let me know the good and bad experiences you have had with your Me 25. Would you recommend this pedal to another person?

Of the three different multi effect pedals I've used, the Boss is the closet thing to having stomp boxes. If you are using the pedal for recordings, the amps models are great. All the pedal effects are very, very close to the real things. Personally, I'd get the ME-70 used for the price of a ME-25 new. That one is much more like using pedals than the ME-25. Plus it has more features. One good thing with the ME-25 is it can use batteries if you can't get power through the power supply.

Detroitblues,

Can you hook the ME 70 to your computer and record? This was one of the features I was looking for.

There is no usb interface, but the headphone output is a 1/8" jack you can plug into the mic port. It also has a 1/8" input jack from the computer speakers or MP3/iPod.

I don't own one, but have used one a couple of times at gigs/jams/etc. For the money, a lot of features and great bang for the buck! 8)
