First time I heard a fella say he was going to the restroom, I thought he was off for a kip

More decades ago than I want to admit I worked as an usher in a theatre in the evenings. Visitors would come and ask us where the restroom was. We'd reply with fake surprise that they wanted a rest just when the show was about to start - were they very tired? Gosh, we thought we were funny - oh dear...

BTW: this is all meant in the most friendly good humour. I am only too well aware of all the silly euphemisms to be found in my own version of the language... :)

On which. Fiddlesticks: I'll be back in a minute - I need to spend a penny; go and point percy at the porcelain; spring a leak; strain the 'taters; shake hands with my wife's best friend; siphon the python; splash my boots. And all in the "smallest room in the house..."

Sorry - what was this thread about? :D

Cheers - C

Gotta leave some material for others to come out with - it's only polite. :D

Yep, I've a feeling there's dozens more. Oooo - Australia will be waking up soon. They usually have loads to offer in this sort of area...

PS: I notice the sensoring software hasn't taken out "titbits" from your post. Interesting - you can't usually type those first three letters here and get away with it. But then, out of puritanical bashfulness Americans don't say titbit. Somewhere in history they changed their word to "tidbit", to spare the tender feelings of their sainted aunts. Aaaaahhh...

For that matter, for the same reason they go to the "bathroom" when it is not a bath they wish to take and when the room in question may not even contain a bathtub. So plain speaking on some things: so coy on others. Charming. :D

Cheers - C

Just wondering if "Christmas crackers" makes it past this time
edit - Yeah, gentlemen we have crackers, for some reason we couldn't say it last year :?

Guitar>compressor>O.D./dist.>EQ/wah>phaser>flanger>delay>chorus>volume pedal

You can put the equalizer/wah in front of the overdrive/distortion.
You can put the flanger in front of the phaser.
You can put the chorus in front of the delay.

I've always put the delay dead last,it always seemed to me that the signal got too scrambled or muddy if you put the flanger or phaser after the delay. and I also put the volume directly after the fuzz/distortion/sustain pedals as I find that the end signal ends up a lot more clear.
