I was recently telling a friend of mine how good were the Cantatas that Bach wrote for Christmas. The Cantatas no 31, 40, 41 and 42 aka the Christmas Cantatas are a serious choice to consider when everything else have been played over and over. Here's an example.

It is not representative of the four Cantatas but the spirit of the Nativity and the Joy of the Holidays is omnipresent through them all. Also not the best of choice to set the party on fire, but it fills a niche and there must be music for everyone. Enjoy.

Interesting that Beetovens 31 piano Sonata, is known by many as the "Christmas Sonata" heres a link to the 2nd movement.... t does have a "Christmas" Feel to it.

Interesting that the pianist is called Rudolph. Very playfull style on the Sonata I like that, but I must admit that I don't know very much the work of Beethoven, except for the Symphonies of course.
