Which came first, the Gibson Les Paul or the Gretsch Duo Jet?

What a freaking shock the Telecaster must have been, real-time, to the music community of the very early 50s.

Who the **** is Leo Fender?

They made a WHAT?

It's made HOW?

It does WHAT?

It costs what?

It sounds like t h a t...?

Oh.

We need to make one NOW and make it better than his, just in case this solid-body electric guitar thing isn't just a fad!

And a solid body electric bass, too? This guy is starting to be a sliver in our afs.

Leo made a Strato-WHAT...?!

I read how employees at Gibson made fun of the telecaster saying how the design resembled a toilet seat. Then they realized it was selling and needed to compete ^^

If you really think about the les paul is essentially the same shape as a telecaster

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
