Well....it seems to be snowing quite a bit outside. Good thing I have coffee and the blues to keep me company......

I am sure to be spending a large amount of my day clearing snow but rest assured my friends I will find time to fire up the Blues Jr., pull out the Telecaster and reel off a riff or two. I hope you all have a wonderful day and keep those guitars and amps smokin'.

Beaubs

Hey Beaubs! How are you?

Well here in the Cold NorthEast it's....Cold! Actually, it's supposed to hit the mid-forties...all week it's been in the 20's so it will feel like Spring!

I have to put up some lights and bring closer to the house some firewood. Dang wheelbarrow broke so I guess I have to buy one of those first..
Just received a new DRRI and having lots of quality time with it. Never enough of that....

Enjoy the weekend!

G'day Beaubs and all:

Warmed up and now well above freezing where I am. Stuff to do; then off to see Rich Hall doing his standup thang tonight. 8) (No idea if he's well-known in the land of his birth? Apparently he lives in my town these days...)

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cheers - C

It's supposed to snow here this afternoon which will probably mean that my usual sunday jam session while be postponed. I hate to miss out on all the fun. I spent some time last night with my new aerodyne jazz bass. I've had it for a couple months now and have been dialling everything in. Put a new set of rotosounds on it and tweeked the intonation a bit more and voila! it's perfect. Being a P-bass player for 30 years i didnt know if a jazz was going to satisfy me but it does and more. I love the P-J pickup configuration and its a beauty to boot. Well just wanted to share my joy. Happy Holidays all

Mornin' all, got a few small chores to do then off for a walk on a nice frosty morning. I plan on getting in a little a little playing time then off to see my sons new house. Mrs. B is real happy, she found out this week that we are going to be grandparents some time next summer :D

Yeah Way cool that's just what I was telling Mrs.B at breakfast, A nice custom shop Strat. Might as well start the little rug rat off right. Of course grampa might have to keep it till said rug rat is old enough to appreciate it, twenty years maybe?

Morning all, last of the gift shopping is done, groceries unpacked and breakfast on the stove. Not bad on one cup. Jazzmaster and a few more coffees are the order of the day.

Have a good one,
John.E

No need to further comment the northeast weather or yours for that matter other than to suggest that YOU see to it that you have rest periods between your shoveling efforts. I have been spending some time with music morning and I am long overdue on my 'dumb things I gotta do' list for today. So it's time for me to put my foot in the tank and begin to roll.

I'm off to Florida on Friday through to the 3rd, and looking forward to good weather for the annual Forum Mates lunch on Sunday. Seven invited, five confirmed...myself, stratmansteve, mclm8k, trauma, and mustangtoo. Hoping to hear from nicinflorida and stringjunkie.. Will stay in touch with you all through the holidays from there, perhaps on Facebook

Meanwhile, if you have a moment, see my post up top regarding the band my cousin's kid is in. He is as well, a freshman college music major. His grandfather( going on 100) on his father's side played drums for yeeears, and theres a ton' of music genes on his grandmother's side.(she was my aunt).

Uncensored opinions gratefully appreciated. Wouldn't mind this getting around the planet.

Doc

Gee! My father-in-law, in Calabasas, usually spends February in Florida with us. Maybe the current trend in temps will keep him back. :?:

Well it's not bad in Manchester just now, the snow as gone and it's slightly warmer.
Good afternoon Beaubs and everybody else too, haven't had time to get the Tele out yet but I'll put that right soon.
Have a good one y'all.
